Altec Lansing latest earphone have Bluetooth enabled GPS and waterproofing capabilities

Altec Lansing has announced new earphone, dubbed as Freedom, that give you freedom from wires. Most of the wireless earphones usually have wire connecting the device, however Alec Lansing's new headset are truly wireless as these do not have a wire connection between the earbuds.

The company has dropped the cord design and instead used rechargable lithium ion batteries. The new earphones have in-built lithium batteries in each ear piece to offer a hassle free and a truely wireless experience to users.

In terms of features, the Altec Lansing Freedom earphone has Bluetooth based GPS feature, come with IPX& rating for waterproofing, and offer a 6 hour battery life.

The Bluetooth-enabled GPS feature in the device helps user track the headset when the user has misplaced them, within a range of 100 feet. It features noise cancelling microphones for hands-free phone use, features buttons to control calls or music tracks, and can automatically turn itself off when not active.

The best part is that it allows using these earpieces separately. So you can use one earpiece for a mono sound, or use them together for a stereo acoustic sounds. It is available with a carrying case that can also function as the charging cradle for the earphone.

The new earphone will be available in 9 different colours. It will be launched sometime in Q2 2016 for $149.99 which translates to about INR 10,000.
