Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Concept Designs Surfaces Online: Release Date Pegged for October 2013
There have been many speculations and rumors about the upcoming Android 4.3 and the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie updates and although the former one is confirmed, there is not much known about the the Key Lime Pie. Expectations ran high on Google unveiling the two updates in the Google I/O 2013, Alas, the search giant dint even give a mention of the two. Instead, their focus was towards improving the already existing services.
There's also been a lot of confusion, as to first it was believed Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie would be showcased at the Google I/O event and then it was reported to be Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. To add to the confusion, there were speculations that Android 4.3 update would be called as Key Lime Pie.
However, now it has been reportedly confirmed that the Android 4.3 is indeed a Jelly Bean update. On the other side, there are rumors that the now the update will be released in July 2013.
Enough of the 4.3 update, let's talk about the Key Lime Pie update. According to sources close to VR-Zone, Google is planning on launching Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie late this October.
Consequently, Jinesh Shah has come up with concept designs, which could very well resemble the Android 4.5 Key Lime Pie. According to Shah's designs the update will feature redesigned scrollable Google Now Lockscreen widget integrated with notifications, there will be no need for swiping down, as it is already open.
As per the designs the home-screen features include transparent task bar, redesigned clock and Google Search widgets. The designs also feature a new Google music widget. These are some pretty good designs and could work like a charm. Could this be how the Android 4.5 Key Lime Pie OS will look?
