Axis Bank Unveils Upgraded Mobile App For Customers Using Android and iOS Devices

Realizing the growing number of smartphone users throughout the world, Axis Bank has come up with an App for Android and iOS devices to simplify its customers' banking experience. The app is unveiled in collaboration with Tagit, a leading Singapore mobile solutions company.

The Axis Mobile 2.0 app offers a high level of personalization, allowing users to customize their mobile banking experience. It will provide customers with an easy access to their savings as well as credit card accounts and manage transactions including account inquiries, bill payments and fund transfers on their smartphones. With emphasis on safety and security, Axis Bank has also ensured transactions through secure onboarding and mPIN verification.

The transactions on Axis Mobile recorded a 10 fold increase in the last 12 months, the fastest increase among all technology channels in the same period. The bank has seen an increase in the usage of Mobile App from 2% to 10% in last 2 years with an average frequency of 3 logins per month, and expects the transactions to rise in future. Thus with an aim to reach out to 15 lakh customers the bank has launched Mobile Banking App 2.0 for its Indian customers.

The app allows the customer to access the Mobile App by a simple login, either through internet banking or debit card credentials.

The customers can check bank account, transfer money, pay bills, recharge their mobile or DTH through the app it self. Moreover, the app also allows the users to personalize or favorite the transactions.

Additionally, the app comes with an integration with Facebook and Twitter where the customer can pull images and upload photos for beneficiaries.

Perhaps the most important of all, it also helps in locating the nearest branch and ATMs and through the app the customers can receive customized offers on cards and reminders for bill payments through the Mobile app and can also post feedback and comments on social media.

But the version 2.0 of the app is not available at the moment while the older version 1.2 is available for Android and iOS devices. The company also promises to bring out the New Axis Mobile App soon to its customers using Blackberry, Symbian, Windows and tablet-based devices.
