The application boasts to be the first of its kind in India and takes up its obligation to inform businesses in the food industry and to help them understand and implement their plans in accordance to the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006.
The app developers claim to have understood the need for a portal on FSSAI and its compliance needs which the app aims to fulfil. It also gives access to several tools such as a self-inspection tool among others.
An overview of the Food Safety application's content and tools which is available at present on Google Play for download.
It has three main sections including
• a Blog section, which gathers updates on all the developments from FSSAI's end, right from Packaging to labeling, and from contamination to personal hygiene, all of which is directed to be understood and used by the food industry professionals.
• A Webinar section, which offers videos on note worthy topics like Food Acts, Licensing, Registration and the like.
• The Food Safety Inspection Tool, which allows the users to check whether they are abiding by the FSSAI standards. This tool also guides the users to audit and generate a report which ultimately is a profit for the businesses as there is no need for a middleman's intervention.
Foodsafetyhelpline.com looks to be doing a decent job with this venture. We will keep you posted on any further actions by them.
You can also gather first hand information from them on their official site.
