Instagram, one of the photo editing and sharing apps have already become the favorite of most of the Android and iOS users across the globe. The main thing about the app that has attracted the users because of its simplicity in working with the bulot-in filters. The app's built-in 18 filters offers the best editing options to the users, and now the company has added few more new creative tools to the app.
In its official blog post, Instagram writes, "We're delighted to bring you a set of new creative tools on Instagram with the ability to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth and more."
Instagram 6.0 will thus roll out over the next few days for both iOS and Android. It will let you adjust contrast, saturation, warmth, brightness, highlights, shadows, vignettes and sharpness in all photos as mentioned in the blog-post.
Tapping the tool brings up a slider that you can use to make adjustments on a 100 point scale. This works across all the variables involved. Additionally, Instagram 6.0 also allows you to adjust filter strength which is something that can come extremely handy depending on the image involved.
Peter Deng, the director of the product told the news site that to implement vignetting, the Instagram team has researched "what film cameras and vignetting actually looks like, and how [vignetting is] an artifact of how lenses take the light in."
The Instagram version 6.0 is now available for download for Android and iOS users via Apple app store and Google Play store, respectively. There's no word yet on an updated version of the app for Windows Phone users.
