In few hours, WWDC 2013 is all set to kick off today and it's almost a sure thing Apple is about reveal it's new operating system for iOS. There have been long standing rumours that iOS7 will come with new redesigned UI. The Wall Street Journal's report now confirms these rumours that the iOS7 will come with new, flatter, skeumorphism-free designs. The new mobile operating system will also bring new ways to share photos and videos with other iPhone users, along with other improvements.
Sources tell WSJ that the new designs abandoning Apple's well known approach of redesigning icons and apps in favour of plain solid backgrounds and more white space. These is quite contradictory to previous rumors. Daring Fireball's John Gruber said in his talk-show that all the previous rumors about iOS 7 were wrong, is this what he meant? Then again 9to5mac has found alleged leaks of the images of the new iOS version and it does show redesigned icons and apps.
Adding to new features, the new Operating System is also expected to come with iRadio - free music streaming service. The service is believed to make use of text and audio ads for revenues and will only be available in the U.S.
There have been a growing concerns that the Apple's mobile operating system had become boring. The feeling that the company has lost it's spark was quite prominent. Will the new iOS change the perception back in favour of Apple ? We will get to know latter today.
Apple is also expected to reveal it's new range of laptops and it's brand new operating system for Mac, OS X 10.9. The new Mac operating system is said to tabs to it's file browser, improved Siri and Apple Maps integration, full screen apps and New multitasking features.
