It's official Nokia Lumia 925 was launched at an event in London today. At the event, the Finnish handset maker also introduced it' Smart Camera app alongside the launch. The new application will come preloaded on Windows Phone 8 powered Lumia 925 and will let you shoot sequence of photos (10 frames), also offering users to manipulate the frames with some powerful editing tools.
Well, apart from that the good news is the Smart Camera app will also be made available for other selected Lumias launched in the past, including Nokia's Windows Phone 8 smartphones including Lumia 820 and Lumia 920.
Best Shot: The app automatically picks out the best image out of the 10 shots that were taken.
Action Shots: This feature is best suited in capturing moving objects. It lets you add multiple frames in to a single frame, making it possible to add emphasis on the motion.
Fade Off : During action shots you can fade moving objects, making them appear transparent or translucent to further emphasize on the movement.
Motion Focus : You can also add blur effect to the background, to make the object look like it's moving.
Remove Faces: You can combine facial expressions from a series of shots into a single perfect group shot.
Remove Moving Object: You can remove unwanted moving objects from a picture.
During the event, Nokia also announced upcoming Windows Phone ‘Amber' update for Lumia handsets. Reportedly, the firmware update will allow Nokia Lumia smartphones to support FM Radio.
Note: The update will not be available for Lumia 620 handsets, as it does not have the hardware requirements to support the feature. Apart from that, Nokia Lumia 920, 928, 820, 720 and 520 all will get the application.
The update is also said to to bring in the Smart Camera app to Lumia 820 and Lumia 920. Also, double-tap to wake support to be introduced to the Lumia 925 handset. Stay tuned to GizBot for future updates.
