MapmyIndia Locate: People Tracking App Now Launched for Windows Phone 8

MapmyIndia, recently announced the launch of its latest people tracking app for Windows Phone 8 running mobile phones called MapmyIndia Locate. The app, which has so far been live only on Android has finally come to the Windows Phone platform. The app helps users to identify the location of friends, family and work colleagues. Another feature, exclusive to the Windows Phone, allows users to add up to 10 people you want to keep track of. The mobile application can be downloaded free from the Windows Phone Store. Here are few of the features of the app offers to the users:

The app will track the tracker as well. Which means the phone will be tracking itself as well. Thus there is no need to worry when the user gets lost. Moreover, the application also supports detailed movement reporting as well. Once you have added the people whose location you want to track you can track them via a real time map. Users can either manually check-in to places or the app automatically picks up location every 500 meters and shows it as auto-check in.

Users will also get movement reports for people being located for up to five days. Reports include full details like date, time and address and users can set custom locate settings for getting located - like days of the week and time of the day when they wish to be tracked. The app uses GPS, Wi-Fi or Cell Tower Triangulation to compute such locations.
