Meru Cabs App for iOS and Android Devices Launched with Security Features

Taking advantage of the fast paced technology, Meru Cabs has come up with their recent app which is one of the most needed app in India. The app now enables commuters to hire a cab in a go. Not only that but the app comes with an incredible features that will definitely help users feel safe especially women who travel frequently on odd times of the day.

The 7.4MB Meru Cab app can be downloaded free of cost through Google Play Store and iOS app Store. Moreover, it will be compatible with the Android devices running on Android 2.2 version and above.

Here below are the features that the app will offer:

The app will enable easy mode to select a pickup address through various options, like the app identifies the existing user location. To make the address more accurate, the address in text box can be edited and If any address from previous 5 bookings is close by, it can be selected through ‘Nearby' tabs. Moreover, multiple addresses of frequently used locations can be added to the quick bookings in future and normally a new pickup address can also be given.

Through this app, users can select the drop location through Home,Office,Airport or Favorites tags or by simply typing the name of the area. Moreover, after the cab is booked, real time tracking of cab on the map with estimated distance and time of arrival can be seen and users can call the chauffeur directly from the App itself.

Commuters will also receive an e-receipt for the trip and there will be a Push notifications for various alerts like booking confirmation, cab & chauffeur details, rating the services etc.

Last but most important feature of the app is the ICE (In Case of Emergency) feature, which can be used even when user has not booked Meru cab or travelling in Meru. Once the user saves the number of a family member or a friend, this feature can be used to trigger an emergency buzzer on family member's phones in case of emergency situations. They will also receive an SMS with location details of the user and see the location of user on the map.

The radio taxi service of this company is currently functioning in five Indian cities, namely - Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Jaipur.
