Mozilla has rolled out the test build of Firefox browser for Windows 8 platform which is quite exciting. It is now available for developers only and it is not clear when it will be rolled out for all. The most interesting element of the windows8 based browser is the inclusion of touch-oriented UI.
The browser also features the 'Metro' style that is specific for Windows 8 apps. It is mandatory that users need to make this browser their default one for making use of the Metro style version.
Earlier in April 2012 itself, there were talks concerning the working of Firefox on a windows 8 based browser. In October 2012, there were some rumors like Firefox browser for Windows 8 may be out. However it remained a rumor till now. Now also, they have rolled out the version for developers at present.
According to tech experts, Mozilla is not supposed to make further delay on this as there is heavy competition from powerful browsers. TheNextWeb reported that Mozilla might roll out the users' version of the browser mostly by May or June of the year. However they added that there are chances of the roll out to make further delay, as well.
