Nokia has unveiled its first home launcher for Android called the Z launcher. The home launcher works as a home screen for your Android smartphone. This is still in pre-beta phase and currently available only for limited number of downloads in the pre-beta release.
The launcher will run on Android 4.1 and higher and the company is reportedly said to be testing the launcher on the handsets like Samsung Galaxy S5, S4, S3, and Google Nexus 5, but it is likely to work on most Android smartphones.
Similar to most of the other Android launchers in the market, Z launcher makes your Android experience easy by predicting apps according to your usage pattern and preferences. Nokia explained via blog post, "As soon as you install and start using Z Launcher, it starts learning what you use throughout the day and automatically surfaces whatever you're most likely to need at the right moment."
The main aim of the Z launcher is to let you find and access your app quickly instead of browsing for it. It surfaces app on the screen after learning your habits and other indicators such as location, time of day etc.
Moreover, Scribble is another feature that comes with the new app. According to Nokia, "Scribble is a fast and fun way to find anything on your phone in as little as one second. We're used to tapping away at our phones to find things - rooting through folders, swiping and scrolling. Scribble makes this easier: Simply draw the first letter of what you're looking for, right on your screen. Ta da! Z Launcher brings you the right app, contact, or task practically instantaneously."
If you are interested to download the Z Launcher, you will have to go to Z Launcher from your smartphone and follow the instructions below How to Install:
