Tata Sky Brings Everywhere TV App to PCs
Tata Sky, one of the leading pay-TV operators in the country, has launched its popular application Everywhere TV on personal computers (laptops and desktops). Accessible to all Tata Sky subscribers, the Everywhere TV service until now was available only on smart-phones and tablets (ioS and Android devices).
This comes along with the announcement that Tata Sky subscribers will also be able to watch FIFA World Cup 2014 live and exclusive on Sony Six as part of its Everywhere TV service, at no additional cost.

With ever changing life styles and viewing preferences of subscribers, Tata Sky has gauged the need to extend the ‘television viewing' experience beyond living rooms to multiple viewing devices.

Commenting on this introduction, Vikram Mehra, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Sky said, "The success of Everywhere TV on phones and tablets encouraged us to now take the service to PCs and laptops. The service launch has been timed just before the football World Cup, to ensure that home laptop doubles up as the 2nd TV at home, thus allowing youngsters to watch late night football matches on their laptops and headphones, without disturbing their entire family."
He also explained that, "Our association with Sony SIX and The OneAlliance has given us the opportunity to bring a global event Live for our subscribers, wherever they choose."
Now with the addition of PCs to its Everywhere TV service, missing out on one's favorite television content or subscribing to numerous other applications, will be a thing of the past for Tata Sky subscribers.
To download the Everywhere TV application on PCs (laptops and desktops), subscribers need to visit the website.
Launched last year, Tata Sky's Everywhere TV service was well received with over 1 lakh subscribers downloading within 2 weeks of its launch. Today it stands at close to 12 lakh downloads already. The Everywhere TV service has three sections; namely Live TV (live streaming of their favorite shows), Catch UP TV (watch previous 5 days episodes of favorite shows) and Video-On-Demand (download or watch through direct streaming over hundreds of videos including movies).
