Vine app for Android has received a major update, bringing in various new features that will simplify shooting and sharing. The update brings various camera tools and channels that were introduced to the iOS version of the app, last week.

Key Features Of The Update

Vine added the revine feature which allows users to repost a video for sharing with followers.

The update brings 15 new channels for submitting or browsing posts. The channels range from, comedy, art & experimental to cats, and more.

Now you can share your favorite posts with all your followers on Vine in one tap.

The update introduces new fast capture widget, which allows you to instantly jump to the Vine camera right from your home screen.

The update also brings new camera tools such as focus, grid, and ghost

Apart from the changes above, a new mute button has been added to the menu and various performance improvements have been implemented.

Vine App For iOS Updated

Vine app for iOS devices was also updated last week with new features. The update brings channels, revine and camera tools that were mentioned above, along with On The Rise feature which allows users to discover new and interesting vine users right from their explore screen. Adding on the features, users can now decide on who get to view their post and who does not.

Apart from these changes, an issue that caused the camera to focus unnecessarily while recording, has been fixed. Moving on, the update also brings performance improvements such as faster search for hashtags and people you mention frequently, improved Cache control and less disk space usage. The update also brings other crash fixes and miscellaneous improvements.

Meanwhile, techcrunch reports that twitter has confirmed that the Vine app will be made available for Windows Phone 8 users soon. However, the company has shared further details about it.
