Gizbot earlier reported about rumors about Microsoft, might launch Windows 9, operating system in November of 2014. The alleged next-gen operating system, which is already said to be in development stage, might be coming sooner than expected. There is a new rumor saying Windows 9 might be launched in October. If this is true, then it will be launching, two months after the highly anticipated release of the Windows 8 update - Windows Blue.
Earlier, there was news suggesting, Microsoft might be releasing the blue update, as Windows 8.1. The project is apparently being developed by a separate team, from that Windows and Windows Phone departments. Digitimes reports of the rumor that the company looks to merge the two operating systems to compete with Google's Android and Chrome.
Is there an element of truth to the rumor, because it does seem a little too soon, for a whole new operating system, as the update for the existing operating system is already on the way. Anyways, Microsoft as expected, has declined to comment on it.
A Job post was spotted on the Microsoft's Careers Page - Software Development Engineer in Test II - Windows. Under the description of the job, the company wrote "The next version of Windows release will advance further the promise of the newly reimagined Windows user experience. Do you want to be part of the biggest paradigm shift in the history of Windows?".
There is no hard evidence as to when the Windows 9 OS might come to light, but from what is gathered, it will bring in a whole new Windows user experience.
