Amazon, the world's largest online retailer, will launch an e-Book download service designed and customized for Samsung-branded Galaxy devices.

The partnership will bring a dedicated Kindle app to Galaxy devices, with free books.

As part of the agreement, ‘Samsung Book Deal' is the name of the offering that will allow users to download 12 books a year. This means that users have an option to choose up to 12 free e-Books per year from a selection of four different free books per month.

Well, it looks like the app won't take advantage of any Samsung-made hardware. It's just a regular Kindle app, with an offer to download free books.

The unique service will be first available for the Samsung Galaxy S5 (at least for the time being), followed by other Galaxy devices ( above Android 4.0) in the near future.

"We're thrilled that Samsung has chosen Kindle as their eBook provider. With Kindle for Samsung, people around the world will have instant access to the best digital bookstore and reading experience, including more than half a million titles that are only available from the Kindle Store, and innovative features like Whispersync, Time to Read and much more," said Jorrit Van der Meulen, vice president, EU Kindle.

Both the companies said that Kindle for Samsung is available for download in more than 90 countries from Samsung app store.
