Apple releases iOS 8.1.3 update, Improves Performance and Stability

Cupertino handset maker Apple has released update iOS 8.1.3 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod users. It contains bug fixes, increased stability and performance improvements. This update will be available Over the Air (OTA) and can be downloaded by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Also, you can also download and install the update by connecting your iPhone through iTunes to your PC or Mac.

This software update will be available for devices like iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPod touch, fifth-generation.

In this update, Apple mainly concentrated on the reduction in storage capacity, which is required during the software update. Additionally, other bug fixes like issues entering Apple ID passwords with messages and FaceTime, missing app results on Spotlight search, and multitasking gesture performance on iPad are available with this update.

Initially, Apple released iOS 8 last year with the launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. After few days, iOS 8.1 was added to support Apple Pay, followed by the release of iOS 8.1.1 update, which focused on improving performance for iPhone 4s and iPad 2 users, and released iOS 8.1.2, which had bug fixes and a fix for missing ringtones.

Additionally, Apple released a new ‘120 Sports' channel to Apple TV users, updated Apple TV 3 software to version 7.0.3, iTunes U version 2.1.1 for iOS with performance improvements, and released OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 for Mac.
