Delhi Airport App for Windows 8 Users Launched with Real Time Flight Info and Live Weather Forecast Feature
In a recent development, Delhi International Airport (P) Limited (DIAL), the operator of the countries busiest and the second best airport in world in its category has announced the launch of – GMR Delhi Airport – application on Windows 8 platform in collaboration with Microsoft. The launch of the new app is a good news for all the travellers who intend to fly to Delhi, Delhi Airport passengers and Windows 8 users.
As informed by the press release, the application also hosts numerous utility features such as real-time flight information, live weather information, access to all passengers’ facilities available at the airport. This application can be downloaded at absolutely free of cost from Windows Store website.
Commenting on the development, Mr. I Prabhakara Rao, CEO, DIAL, said, “DIAL has a tradition of providing high-quality services to its passengers. We are excited to partner with Microsoft to bring this truly valuable new service to travellers. Smartphones and tablets usage is growing phenomenally as the primary means of information with passenger’s expectation of having instant access to real-time, relevant and reliable information when on the move, this new application on windows 8 platform will serve the purpose allowing us to deliver that experience seamlessly on mobile devices and pads."
“We marked our presence on facebook and twitter platform almost a year ago to transform the airport experience. Our partnership with Microsoft will take things to the next level. Our adaptation to these technological changes also signifies that we are dynamic and continuously evolving and following best practices so as to provide the quality services available at ease to all the passengers”, added Mr Rao.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has got ISO 20000 certification for eliminating and controlling IT related threats on its IT service management system making it the sixth airport in the world to get the certification.
