Evernote 5.0 for iOS Announced With Improved UI and New Features

Evernote for iOS has received a significant update recently with a new version titled Evernote 5.0. It comes with a lot of new features and brings a renewed interface for both Apple iPhones and iPads.

The updated version allows users to create notes much faster compared to the previous version. Navigation is also now made easier across the existing notes in the tablet build version of the Evernote app. One of the major attractions is the free organization application which features a redesigned note list. In the redesigned note list, each of the notes is displayed as a card. The updated version also supports the stacked notebooks present in iPad.

The updated Evernote app also features a multi-feature view in a simple layout which displays recently-searched, created and edited notes. For providing users with more comfort, a quick-note button has been included in the home screen of the app for creating new notes with ease. However users will not be able to enjoy the widget that Android users enjoy especially since iOS does not support desktop widgets. The updated app has also included a new shared notebook list that displays the shared notes of the users and the ones being shared by others to the user.

Other key additions with Evernote 5.0 for iOS include the ability to have a zoomable map view of the geotagged notes. The updated version of the app has eliminated the need for Evernote Premium Subscribers to check the full site for viewing their account status since the latest version allows them to get details from within the app itself. The app also extends support for audio and photo notes. The app is available both as a free and paid version if the user wants to transfer more data in to their account. Users can download the latest version of Evernote app for iOS from the iTunes App Store.
