Popular note taking app, Evernote for Android (4.3) has added a bunch of new features, making it faster and more reliable for the consumers. The latest update includes an improved toolbar in the Note Editor, Offline Notebook multi-select for Premium users and redesigned Action Bars for Android tablets. The update in Evernote has also added a stretchable widget to the widget app. Take a look at what all is new in the app.
Premium feature: Easier Offline Notebooks
Offline Notebooks is one of our most popular Premium features. It lets you download as many notebooks as you like directly to your phone or tablet, allowing you to access your notes and any attachments quickly. With the latest update, Evernote took all the hassle out of taking notebooks offline by letting you select multiple notebooks at once.
How it Works?
To do this, go to your notebook list and tap on one of the following:
Android phone: tap the download icon in the bottom Action Bar
Android tablet: tap the three dots in the top right corner, then tap Offline Notebooks
After the steps taken, users will be taken to the multi-select view. Tap the notebooks that you’d like to keep for offline access. Once done, tap the check mark in the top left of the screen. The notebooks will begin downloading in the background.
Evernote Premium
Evernote Premium has got 1GB of monthly uploads, faster support, PDF search and many other features.
Simplified Note Editing
Evernote also made a minor update in its Note Editor Tool bar. The update includes cleaning up of the toolbar removing the clutter which was raised as an issue of concern by many Evernote users. The developer also moved a lot of unnecessary features in the tool bar towards the top of the Action Bars. With this, users can now have simplified access and have only the necessary tools that are actually needed in the toolbar.
New Widget
The update brings with it a new ‘Grid’ widget. The new widget has also been designed to fit perfectly on the screen irrespective of the size.
For choosing the new widget, users will have to;
