Facebook Aims to Eliminate Spam and Hoaxes With New Update
Recent updates have confirmed that the social networking giant Facebook is chasing after Hoaxes and News Feed spam, especially after the hoaxes that appears in users feed. According to Facebooks hoaxes are defines as scams, false or misleading stories.
For example, users charging their iPhones by putting it in a microwave. Such stories are deleted, however they re-appear due to muliple posts circulating in the Facebook world.
Consequently, users have the options to report any post, photos, videos or links as false but sometimes things do look very appealing!

If a large number of users report or delete a post, Facebook's algorithms will automatically reduce its visibility in the News Feed. The company will make sure that it won't delete these types of posts, though it will add a warning message for its users that the post has been reported as containing false information. Stories which intend to be satirical or humorous won't be affected by the update.
While this update will help Facebook reduce News Feed spam, one question remains unclear, whether Facebook will apply any controls in place to prevent users from abusing the tool? Let your opinions flow in the comments section below.
