Guide to All Facebook Hidden Games, How to Find and Play Them
The Facebook chat app now has three secret games - chess, football, and basketball.
All these years, Facebook Messenger has been exceptional. It not only lets you instantly chat and communicate with your friends, anytime, anywhere for free but also enjoy playing the hidden Facebook games. There are hidden games for entertainment when your conversation becomes boring.
Well, Facebook has been adding some mini-games into their messenger and even though they've been out for a while, not everyone might know about them. As such, finding these hidden Facebook games isn't always a straightforward task and you might have to do some super detective work to hunt all the secret elements of Messenger.

However, as of now, there are three games out there. They are football, basketball, and chess. All of these mini-games can be launched via emojis except the Chess game, which is simply a chat command.
You should keep in mind that the other person will be able to see your score in the chat window and most likely both of you might end up challenging each other for the high score.
Basketball
If you are a basketball fan or just a regular person who enjoys playing games, you don't actually need to learn anything at all to play the basketball game on Messenger. You can simply swipe the ball with your finger into the basket and you'll score a point. If you fail to do so, your current points will become your final score for that match.
If you're wondering how to launch the game, then finding the hidden Facebook basketball game is easy too. The main thing is that you have to ensure that you're running the latest version of Messenger on your mobile device.
Once that is confirmed, you just have to select and send a basketball emoji to your friend. After sending the emoji, you just have to tap on that sent basketball emoji and it will launch the hidden game.
Football
Well, as there are a lot of football fans out there, this might be an attractive and fun game to play. So, in this game, you just have to simply keep tapping the ball and prevent it from falling off the screen. Similar to the scoring system of Basketball, every successful tap is a point, and once the ball touches the ground, your score is locked and saved.
You do have to remember that the ball will bounce off the edges and your tap will determine which way it'll bounce. As you progress through the game, there are various tricks that make the game more challenging.
In a similar fashion, like the basketball game, to start the football game in Messenger, simply send the football emoji to the other person and tap it once it's in the chat window.

Chess
This game might be a little difficult for you to find and play. While basketball and football use emojis, to launch this game, you need to type a secret code in a chat window of the person that you want to play chess with. The secret code: @fbchess play
This game might be little tricky and you will need time to get used to it.
So, after you type "@fbchess play" into the chat screen of the person you want to play with, a chess board will be revealed. The person who initiates the game will by default play White and is also allowed to make the first move. Every move has to begin with the prefix "@fbchess." For example, if you want to move your pawn (P) to square E3, then you would use the command "@fbchess Pe3."
The descriptive notation for the pieces is K for King, Q for Queen, B for Bishop, N for Knight, R for Rook and P for Pawn. If you need some help with the game, then type "@fbchess help."
Here are some more codes that you can use.
"@fbchess resign" ends the game
"@fbchess stats" reveals the statistics of the players involved in the game
"@fbchess play white" or "@fbchess play black" to choose the color you start playing with. If no color is specified, the default is white.
No Installation Required
It is a fact that sometimes people get bored of playing the same games on their mobile phones or some people just don't have any games installed on their devices. It can also happen that all people want to do is get away from a dull conversation.
So whether you want some excitement or just pass some time, Facebook's hidden secret games that are present in the Messenger app can be really helpful. Moreover, these games are present by default and do not require any installation.
