Compare Uber and Ola Fare Estimates Effortlessly With This Simple Trick
Google, on Wednesday, baked a new feature to its mobile search which allows commuters to book an Uber or Ola ride straight from the search.
After rolling out a new alert feature which notifies about the fluctuations in flight prices, Google, on Wednesday integrated a new feature, which allows commuters to hail an Uber or Ola ride straight from the Google Search.
Earlier this year, Google rolled out a similar feature to the Google Maps app where users were allowed to book a cab directly from there itself without even opening the Uber or Ola app. Now, a similar feature arrives to Google Search app.

This new feature, while not only allows you to simply book one of these cab services without opening their respective apps, also allows you to compare their fare estimates.

Search for a cab
All you have to do is to tap on the Google Search bar on the home screen and enter the intended travel route and follow the below steps.

Provide specific queries
Do make a note that you have to provide specific details of your intended travel route for Google to easily understand. For instance, you can input "Jayanagar to BTM Layout", "Taxi to Bangalore Airport", "Uber to Nandi Hills" or similar commands.
Compare the fare estimates side-by-side
Once you have entered the travel route, details about the fare estimates of both Uber and Ola will be displayed under the search results along with ETA. Choose the one which suits your requirements best and tap on it.

You’ll be redirected to the particular app
On tapping on one of the two cab services, you'll be redirected to that particular app where you will be able to request the cab on a single tap.
Google will prompt you to install the cab-hailing app
Currently, this service is exclusive only to Uber and Ola users. In case you have not installed these apps, Google will prompt you with an install link to download these apps for you to book a ride.
