How is Rooms Different From Group Chat?
The new Facebook feature called "Rooms" allows public conversations focused on specific topics, as per the members choice. As per The Courier Mail's report, Facebook's "Rooms" feature is basically focused on chatting about specific topics with anyone, whether friends, family members, strangers. Unlike the Facebook group chat, that is restricted only to friends who are in you friendliest.
Rooms are All Secure and Safe
Even though with this Facebook users can chat with strangers, they can also be able to set Rooms to private mode, and anyone can join the chat room after being approved by the administrator.
The admin can ban anyone in case of any suspicious activity by them, and the device will be permanently banned from rejoining the group chat. So in a case of any disruptive behavior, Facebook has all the right to unilaterally delete posts, ban members, or even take down entire Rooms.

How To Join a Rooms Chat Group
To avail the feature, a user doesn't require to have a Facebook account or even an email address to sign up to be a part of Room's public chat groups. The new feature includes an innovative QR-code invite system, whereby people who wish to join a Rooms chat group can take a photo or screenshot of a Room's code, sent to them.
How Does the Feature Help?
The Rooms feature can work the best to connect people around similar interest, and want to discuss certain topics via messaging, instead of building a formal structure of a Facebook group, by adding them to their personal account and revealing their information. The feature also works well while organizing events, plan up, organize social and political movements.
All the Can Be Done on Rooms
After rolling out the Rooms feature, Facebook users can now build their own chat rooms, add members, set a screen name for the room, configure notifications and more, and build an interesting conversation on their favorite topic.
Soon to Roll Out in India
The new Rooms Facebook feature is at present available for the Australia and Canada users. However, the social media platform will soon roll out the feature for all users across the world.
