Google Allo's Smart Reply in Hindi: 7 Things You Should Know

In the recent 'Google for India' event, staged on its 18th birthday, the Menlo Park-based search engine giant rolled out several exciting new applications, especially for the Indian users.

Along with the new announcements, the Product Lead for Communication also revealed a new feature of the existing Google Allo to be launched later this year.

To recall, Google's very own IM application Google Allo has recently been made available globally for Android and iOS and India is the first country to receive the application ahead of the U.S. Now as the new addition, Google has officially announced that it will also be releasing another update for India customers, which will bring Hindi language support to Google Assistant later this year.

Now, let us look at a few facts of this update which makes this more interesting for the Indian market.

#1 Google's main target for the Indian market is to touch the next billion lives by next year.

#2 Why Hindi? It is not only the national language but also more than 420 million people speak this language. Hence, this new addition will fulfill Google's first target.

#3 The search engine giant is also targeting mobile user with the habit of chatting in 'Hinglish' and attempting to replace it with the Hindi.

#4 Your very own Google Assistant will be talking to you in Hindi. So if you are not sure about your hold over English, you can continue in Hindi.

#5 Are you weak in typing Hindi? No worries, Hinglish is already installed along with English as a language in the application.

#6 Now reply smartly to your friends as the Smart Reply feature will be available in Hindi. So, when your friend asks you something your Google Assistant, it will intelligently capture the language and will provide you the possible reply option in the same language.

#7 The above point brings us to Google's another main focus, i.e. applying the Artificial Intelligent technology in the messaging app. Based on this technology, Google Assistant will detect the language used in the received text and prompt you the answers in the same.
