Google showcased its all new Allo, an instant messaging app at the I/O conference earlier this year. As soon as we say another instant messaging app, you must have been wondering why introduce a new messaging app when we already have the ubiquitous WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or Snapchat for that matter.
Well, Allo may sound like any other messaging app, it has a few interesting features up its sleeve. For example, a dedicated chatbot aka Google Assistant, auto chat expiration, and Incognito mode.
In this article, we will show you how to use incognito mode in Google Allo.
Step 1: Open Google Allo
If you haven't downloaded the app, head to Google Play Store or Apple's App Store and download it. Then open the app.
Step 2: Start a new chat
After opening the app, you'll be able to see a new chat icon at the bottom right corner, click on it.
Step 3: Choose whom you intend to chat with
Next, select whom you intend to chat with from the contacts list.
Step 4: Start typing the text
Now, you'll be redirected to the chat screen, start typing the message and send it to your friends or family.
Step 5: Set expiration time
By default, the expiration time is set to 1 hour, if you wish to change it click on the alarm-like icon at the top right corner and choose from the options.
