According to several media reports, WhatsApp, in a blog post has declared to discontinue its services for several phones, stating that the messaging app will be phasing out compatibility with the old generation phones.

WhatsApp in the blog post also added that the reason behind suspending it's services is that the old smartphones are not capable enough to support the newly introduced features by the app.

The old-gen phones don't include the kind of capabilities that WhatsApp requires in order to expand their app's features in the upcoming days. Let's check out all the details on which phones will no longer support WhatsApp and also the solution to the issue.

The most affected by this move are the iOS users. WhatsApp is said to discontinue its services, starting 2017 for the iPhone 3GS devices and other devices running on iOS 6.

However, to save yourself from a discontinued WhatsApp service, upgrading to iOS version 9.3 can be your rescue.
