WhatsApp seems to be the most favorite area to hit for the hackers and scammers. Starting from demonetization, free Rs. 500 recharge and more, there have been several WhatsApp messages being circulated claiming to offer free services, and tempting the users to click on the link. Well, not to forget there have been several scams circulating on WhatsApp lately and these messages are one among them. In the name of two telecom giants, BSNL and Airtel, hackers are sending across WhatsApp messages to users claiming that the services are offering unlimited 4G data and free voice calls just by clicking the link given in the forwarded message. Don't click on the link as it is a scam and is a trap laid by the hackers.

The BSNL hoax WhatsApp message reads, "BSNL is offering free 4G unlimited data and voice calls for a period of one year and the offer valid until 31 December, 2016" and asks the user to click on the given link tempting the users to click and avail the unlimited and free offer.

Likewise, the WhatsApp message being circulated in the name of Bharti Airtel reads, "LOOT OFFER FOR ALL AIRTEL USER:- Due to Jio, Now Airtel market is down so Airtel is activating Unlimited 4G, 3G data for 3 months."

Based on the ongoing telecom war between the telecom giants to combat Reliance Jio's unlimited offers, the scammers have take the situation's advantage to mislead the WhatsApp users with free and unlimited data and calls, so that they click on the given link. Avoiding such WhatsApp messages is the best thing the user can do.
