Google Drive app has got updated for Android users. The new update is dubbed 1.1.470.11 and would feature the most awaited native spreadsheet editor. 

What are the options with Spreadsheet Editor?

Now you can work with spreadsheets on mobile just like you do on your Google docs in PC. The new update has brought in the most advanced native spreadsheet editor which lets you do almost anything on your spreadsheet in your handheld Android device. What all you can do is mentioned below.

  • Open a new spreadsheet or edit an existing sheet from the app itself

  • Alter the fonts used, change the table size and data formats on the go

  • View the updates done on spreadsheets by shared users in real-time

  • Edit table content with ease, single tap to get into edit mode

In addition to the modifications in the Spreadsheets editor, the new Drive app update has also brought in modifications to the Google Docs editor. Now when you copy documents from and within the Google Docs, the formatting would be preserved. This would give users a lot more comfort to work with Google docs now.

With a single tap, you can get into edit mode in any Google docs file. There is a provision to add shortcut to Google doc files or folder on the Android device home screen itself. This makes file access quite easy. Copying links to clipboard is also now possible with the updated Docs editor in the Drive app.
