Now, Google is expanding this content offering scheme by introducing the Google Currents which is a new app for the Android devices, iPhones and iPads. This new app will let the users to explore the online magazines as well as other contents with a swipe.
Google Currents is nothing but an alternative to the Flipboard and it allows the users to read through blogs, news sites and the online publications that are of magazine format right on their tablets and smartphones. This app is available for iOS as well as Android platforms.
The greatest advantage of Google Currents is it allows the users to read their subscriptions while they are offline and they can also download the images while still being offline.

They can also subscribe to video, photo and RSS feeds, Google Reader and Google+ streams subscriptions. The trending tab helps the users to discover those contents that matches to their taste.
