UOB, United Overseas Bank has created a new app known as UOB Mobile that aims at resolving some of the worries of the customers. This app allows the users to transfer or withdraw the cash from the ATM without the necessity of the ATM card. UOB is the first Singapore bank to bring about this facility.
This app has come into existence when most of the customers in Singapore have started to register for internet banking. Most Singaporeans are opting for the online banking feature for their convenience.
This app has a feature known as Mobile Cash that enables the customers to transfer the money to a particular list of registered recipients that also include the non-UOB users. All the users have to do is send a text message and a password so that the recipients are able to withdraw cash at over 600 ATM centers in Singapore.
UOB Mobile allows the users to view the latest promotions and privileges, the nearest branches and ATM centers. It allows them to perform fund transfers, pay bills and check account balance. It offers real time access to the financial information like gold and silver prices, unit trust prices, exchange rates and deposit rates. Users can also calculate the personal loans, financial goals and home equity financing.
At present this app is launched for Apple and is made available in the AppStore for free. This app will soon be launched for other mobile platforms like Android and Blackberry in the next year.
