MapMyIndia App Now Available on Windows Phone Store

MapmyIndia, India’s leader in GPS navigation, has recently announced the launch of the Windows Phone version of its India centric maps application.

Reportedly, the users of the Microsoft OS will have access to Nokia Maps; however, analysts believe the the MapMyIndia is a nice alternative especially for Indians as it is integrated with quite exhaustive map data in India.

It also provides door-to-door landmark-based driving directions and local search across a hundred categories. If you did not find place on Nokia Maps on your Lumia device, probably you should try it on MapmyIndia app.

Unlike the Sygic and Don’t Panic MapMyIndia apps for iOS, the Windows Phone MapMyIndia app does not store map data locally, so it is dependent on the user having an Internet connection on his phone. Additionally, the app does not support the location-sharing feature for Facebook like its Android version.

The app is currently available for free on the Windows Phone store.
