EC launches mobile app for Kerala assembly polls
The Election Commission has launched an innovative mobile application with comprehensive details about the coming May 16 assembly polls in Kerala.
Titled e-voter, the app is envisaged for voters' facilitation for search in electoral roll, location of polling station, information regarding candidates, affidavit filed by them, filing of complaint and so on.

The app, developed by the state IT Mission, is aimed at ensuring great transparency and conduct of free and fair elections, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Kerala said here in a release Thursday.
The 'know your candidate' option in the app would provide constituency wise details of candidates, while 'constituency list' option would give segment wise details of voters (number of male voters, female voters and total number of voters) and total polling stations.
Information about results of previous elections and names of Chief Ministers would also be available in the app.
Provisions for public grievances would also be there in the application, it said.
The e-voter app can be downloaded from the Google Play store and can be installed in any android phone, the CEO release added.
