Google just released meet-up app Who's Down

The Who's Down app is meant for the college students considering that the app does not actually ask for student's academic details to register but it asks for the name of the institution before joining the wait list. It is currently available on invite only basis, hence we could not test the app to know about its features and functionality in details.

On the basis of the given information and screenshots, this app will allow users to quickly change their status to let others know if they are free to hand out with others. One can slide through to change their status and be available for three hours. It also allows users to tell other what they are down for so that other can reply if they are interested to hang out for the same activity.

User can do so by customizing their status from a list of popular activities given in the app. For instance a user can tell their friends that he/she is down for a movie, and ask others to join in. Using the app, a user can also instantly know which friend is free to start a chat with them and plan a hang out.

The app can be downloaded for free from the market places for Android and Apple users, but cannot be used until one gets an invite.

To download the app, Android users click here, and Apple users click here.
