Intially, after being available for Windows Phones, Cortana was also released for Windows 10 PC's and Laptops. Cortana for Windows Phones in India also supports English India, though it lacks the full usability and adaptability similar to Google Now which has support for several languages. It is expected that Microsoft will bring several improvements to Cortana.
Cortana is a personal assistant very similar to Google Now and Siri. The Cortana was launched and originally meant for Microsoft Lumia. As a Personal Assistant, Cortana can wake you up with Alarms, Reminders. As a Personal Assistant, Cortana can be used for several applications to make an appointment, send an email or text, set reminders by location and time across your PC and phone, plus track your packages, flights, stocks, sports scores, weather and more.
