Microsoft Onedrive users can retain part of the Free Cloud Storage it will cut

Microsoft is allowing users to keep some of the Storage space it is planning to cut. Microsoft had earlier announced that it will cut its free Cloud Storage from 15GB to 5GB. Microsoft had also announced that it will do away with the 15GB of free storage that it gave away to users as Camera Roll Bonus.

This lead to lot of disagreement among Microsoft fans who requested Microsoft to not take the decision of doing away with free Cloud Storage. The Cloud Storage space is today dominated by players like Google, Dropbox and others who give away free Cloud Storage to its users.

Microsoft also said that its Office 365 users that their Free cloud storage would be cut 1TB. It has also said that it will cut the free cloud storage for Outlook users from 15Gb to 5Gb. The extra 15GB that OneDrive users might have availed will also be removed.

The company has decided to stick to its decision but only partially.Users can keep their 15Gb of Cloud Storage but only if they opt in for the service. Users who wish to keep their 15Gb of Cloud Storage can click on the link.

OneDrive users will soon receive a mail from Microsoft informing them about the decision and with a mail of the link that allows them to continue to keep up their 15Gb of Camera roll bonus which is discontinued.
