Reliance Digital Stores Will Be the Next PokéStops; Pokemon Go Finally Lands in India
Go catch ‘em all!
Pokemon Go, one of the most downloaded games of this year worldwide finally lands in India. After five months from its launch, Niantic Inc., the company behind the development of the game collaborated with Reliance Jio, the new entrant in the telecom sector to bring the game to the Indian shores.
Interestingly, this partnership will result in hundreds of Reliance Digital stores, and it’s select partners to act as 'PokéStops’ and 'Gyms’ within the game.

The app will be available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store starting from tomorrow.
Also, Pokemon Go users in India will get a dedicated channel on Reliance Jio’s JioChat app where they can find daily tips, contests, clues, and special events.
John Hanke, CEO of Niantic said in a statement, “We are delighted to partner with Jio to launch Pokemon Go in India.”
“It’s exciting to see Pokemon fans in India step out and explore their neighborhoods in search of Pokemon and Jio’s disruptive high speed 4G LTE Network will be an excellent way to experience the game,” he added.
“The Pokemon Go Channel will enable Pokemon Go players to collaborate and be part of an exciting community of players with daily tips, contests, clues, and special events,” the company said in a statement.
