Revamped Google Drive for iOS comes with 3D Touch and Split View functionality

After the launch of the Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus a number of iOS apps are receiving major updates to make use of the 3D Touch functionality of the iPhones. Apparently the latest addition to that updated list of apps is Google Drive. The cloud storage cum sharing app now comes with new features including 3D Touch, support for Split View and Slide Over Multitasking.

The latest update of the Google Drive has makes it easier to upload photos to the Drive on the go. One can now either upload a photo or search for a file on their drive by just applying more pressure on the Google Drive icon on home screen from their iPhone 6S or 6S Plus.

In addition to the 3D Touch Functionality the Google Drive App now provides notification whenever someone shares a new file with you. Furthermore you can search your Drive files directly from the iOS Search. Apart from these the new update also comes with support for Split View and Slide Over Multitasking exclusively for the iPad and the iPad Pro.
