Mark As Unread
WhatsApp is working on a new feature for Android users, that will allow users to mark messages as unread even after reading them. While, a report claims that, this feature does not appear as read to sender even after marking them as unread. This feature can be used to highlight messages so you can get back to them later.
Custom Notification
WhatsApp is updating with a whole set of new customization options. The update will allow users to set a specific ringtone for a contact, including separate call and message ringtones, enable or disable pop-up notification and much more.
Mute Contacts
At present, WhatsApp only allows to mute group conversations, but the upcoming update will bring a new features that can be able to mute individual contacts as well.
Lesser Data Consumption in Call
WhatsApp added the most-wanted calling feature over VoIP for its app. Now the WhatsApp has added a new option in the app to reduce the data consumption for calling. Go to Call menu in Settings and you'll get a new option called Low Data usage. Click on the Box and you'll be able to save some data while making calls using WhatsApp.
Backup With Google Drive
This features is not yet live. This upcoming update will brings a great features that can backup all the WhatsApp conversations to Google Drive.
The Google Drive integration is highly rumored for a long time, which will backup chats, images, videos, voice messages and much more.
