Viber rolls out Viber Wink app for transient Images and Videos

Viber is taking a cue from Snapchat. Viber has rolled out Viber Wink, an ephemeral messaging app that allows users to send photos and videos. Similar to Snapchat, the photos and Videos will disappear after they have been viewed.The videos and images would have a shelf life and not for permanent viewing.

Similar to messaging apps that will disappear messages that are posted after a limited frame of time, the Viber Wink too does the same. Users can share their time limit and share it via Viber. Users can set a time limit. The messages containing video and images can be sent only to recipients if they are using Viber. The Viber Wink messages can be sent inside a Viber app.

Viber will also be launching a standalone Viber Wink app. A new update to Viber allows users to know who has seen the friends who have viewed their messages. After choosing how long the photos and videos can be visible, a new share button allows sharing the messages, even more, easy. There is also an enhancement to the design among others.
