WhatsApp has released an update to its messaging app, which increases the number of people a user can have in a group chat.
The new update now allow users to add up to 256 members, which was limited to 100 prior to the update. The update came just a few day after WhatsApp announced that it had more than 1 billion monthly active users.

The update is available to both Android and iOS apps. Users can now create a group chat on WhatsApp like they did before, but the only advantage is the ability to add 256 members.
Meanwhile, the new update will not bring any changes to user experience, but only the ability to reach up to 256 users at a time, which is a great option.
