WhatsApp on iOS to Get Better: 4 Cool Features Coming Soon!

WhatsApp touched down a record of over 100 million voice calls made on its platform everyday, with over 1,100 calls a second, ever since it introduced the feature in April last year. Now Facebook-owned WhatsApp has been known as one of the widely used messaging app across platforms, and keeps improving its app with upgrades and feature additions.

If the latest buzz is to be believed, WhatsApp is working on bringing new features, major improvements and bug fixes to its iOS app. With the new upcoming update, the company is planning to introduce features that will add more value to it. Here we note down the new rumored features that you cannot use as of now, but might get soon, if you are on iOS!

Ability to share music:

If the latest report from a German site called Macerkopf is to be believed, WhatsApp for iOS will soon get the music sharing feature that will allow users to share their favorite tracks or audio files of their choice, including sharing tunes from Apple Music, on its app. Users will be able to share music locally as well as from Apple Music with their contacts. If this happens, WhatsApp for iOS will become the first WhatsApp app to have this feature.

Twitter-like Mention feature:

Report also suggests that WhatsApp is working on a new mentions feature that will work similar to Twitter. The new Mention feature will essentially let users tag others in a chat message, just like Twitter allows mentioning of twitter handles in a post.

Make Public group with link based invitation system:

It is also believed that WhatsApp on iOS will get a public groups feature that will allow anyone to join the group with a link. Admin of a public group will be able to share a link for users to join the respective group, or to withdraw that very link to close the chat. The feature will be useful for those who want to promote their business or service on a pubic group.

Share large emoji:

WhatsApp is also reportedly launching support for larger emoji, which will allow users to have a better user experience and make the app more interactive. The ability to share large emoji is one of the much awaited features on WhatsApp on iOS.
