ooVoo App Updated: Introduces 4-Way Video Chatting to Android, iOS Devices

ooVoo, a renowned provider of social-video chatting app has brought a significant update for its Android and iOS devices to enhance its functionality.

ooVoo’s latest update now lets you view four separate video streams at once when chatting, while you can still text-chat with up to 12 people. There’s also deeper integration with Google’s services so you can see missed calls in your contacts list, helpful push notifications and a home screen widget. The widget also facilitates one touch chat session along with a provision to make calls directly from the device’s home screen.

The Android app has received some added features with the new update. The app for Android uses Google API to gain better integration into the AddressBook. The new app also provides users with push notifications and ability to text chat with anyone during the video chat. This feature is available for both Android and iOS apps.

ooVoo is not the first company to bring such a feature to Android and iOS platforms. A competitor of ooVoo, Fring also had offered these features earlier. However ooVoo ’s app has more popularity with about 54 million registered consumers.

The app was also awarded ‘The best app of 2011’by PC World Magazine. ooVoo is providing this app free of cost. The app is available for free download from Google play store and iPhone app store .
