Home appliances are no longer mere electronic devices, they are now smart too. Japanese electronics giant, Panasonic is bringing some refreshing modifications to its home appliance line up. Top on the list is the integration of cloud based services for its appliances.
Adding to it the manufacturer has also announced an app which will facilitate home automation bringing along a whole range of smart appliances like air conditioners, refrigerators and several health care products under its service. The app on the table is being referred to as Panasonic Smart App.
Cloud Services Integrated to appliances
Panasonic has brought in cloud services to consumers using their 3-Star Bistro microwave oven and Induction rice cooker appliances. These products which came to the limelight in June allow users to look around for recipes and cooking instructions online by using Android based smartphones.
A new range of smart appliances with integrated app is expected to be launched by September this year. The appliance list includes Panasonic’s X series air conditioners, drum type washer dryers, a top mount refrigerator, along with health care products such as body calorie meter as well as composition and blood pressure monitors. The new air-conditioners waiting for release will be compatible with Apple iPhones and Android based phones.
Panasonic Smart App
Panasonic smart app is built with NFC which allows users with compatible Panasonic home appliances to monitor, control, alter the settings and view energy savings of their appliances with this app. This interesting app is expected to revolutionize home appliance usage experience to its consumers by providing various features to make their life more comfortable and convenient.
Using the Panasonic smart app, users will be able to control the functioning of their air-conditioners from outside the home, check the energy efficiency of the refrigerator and set washing modes on their washing machine using their Android phone.
The app is available for free download from the Club Panasonic website. You may have to pay a small communication fee for accessing the server .Users can use this app if they have compatible smart home appliances from Panasonic.
