Quora for Android With Voice Search, Widgets And Integrated Voice Search Available For Download

The long awaited Quora for Android app is now available on Google Play Store. Quora is a knowledge-sharing website, which connects users to everything that they want to know. The native application brings the core features of website to the Android based devices.

Commenting on the launch of the application, the people behind the development of the app said, "When we set out to build an Android app, we wanted to take advantage of the unique characteristics of the Android platform to extend your experience of Quora in new ways. Our app was built and designed for Android from the ground up, and follows modern Android design principles so it looks and feels great, even on older devices and platforms."

Quora is integrated with voice search, home-screen widget support and landscape mode for comfortable reading. Quora for Android is pretty useful than its iOS app, which does not offer anything much apart from a faster native version of the product.

Further, the Top Questions on Quora is a resizable widget on the homescreen for easy access. The app supports embedding photos inside a post, for the first time on a mobile platform.

The iOS app was launched on September 2011 and received a recent update to iOS 5.0 and later. The major difference in the iOS app is the lack of the Android voice based search option.

Quora for Android is available for download from the Google Play Store.
