Saavn Launches Live Music Series “Live@Saavn”
Saavn, India's music streaming service, is announcing today the launch of Live@Saavn, a series of live acoustic shows and interviews with popular international and Indian artists.
With plans to host artists at its Mumbai HQ, the company is producing high-quality videos of the live sets that will be uploaded to YouTube for fans in India to enjoy. The first in the series features the popular LA-based indie-rock band, Young the Giant.

The new series is aimed at fostering a more transparent and visual connection between Saavn users and the artists they're listening to.
"We're dedicated to building the best possible mobile music experience at Saavn, and our users are paramount to everything we do. The artists themselves are just as important. Through our global label partners, we're able to deliver millions of tracks to music lovers around the world, and now we're connecting them with the artists behind the music," Paramdeep Singh, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Saavn, said.
While promoting their album Mind Over Matter with Sony Music in India earlier this year, the guys from Young the Giant unplugged their guitars for the first-ever Live@Saavn.

"It is our constant effort to offer our artists new ways to engage with their fans, and watching your favorite artist LIVE is an unparalleled experience, which Live@Saavn offers. It effortlessly merges the live and digital music experiences and we were happy to connect with Saavn and Young the Giant for the first such performance. We look forward to partnering with our artists on this new exciting platform," Sanujeet Bhujabal, Director Marketing at Sony Music India, said.
