Here's some great news for all those Shazam fans accessing the app via their trusted iPhones. According to reports, popular audio identification app Shazam has been updated with a fresh overhaul, alongside the ability to more quickly access additional content.
The new facelift that has been provided to the popular audio identification app, which competes in the market against the likes of SoundHound, offers an improved user interface which is overall lighter and displays a card-like layout after tagging or recognizing a song - These cards allow users to directly access related content such as lyrics and music videos.
Tagged as the first of what the company describes as "a larger refresh of the app," the new revamp to the app also offers a much larger focus on TV results, music videos and lyrics. The company also describes that the update is a also combination of "the simplicity and speed of Shazam with a content-led result that invites Shazam's users to engage more deeply with the music or television they discover."
"Simplicity in design and consumer experience has always been key to Shazam's success," said Daniel Danker, Chief Product Officer at Shazam. "No longer is matching a track the end of a journey, now it's the easiest way to get the lyrics, see the music video, or discover more through Shazam's recommendations."
Shazam, which currently boasts more than 150 million iPhone users, will enjoy a new tag result experience as it rolls out in the coming weeks, although Android users will still need to wait a while before the update reaches them.
As of now, with the new update, users will receive effortless access to:
-A brand new look and feel for music and television results with easy access to previewing, buying, and sharing a track.
-Quick access to lyrics with a preview as soon as a track is matched.
-Direct access to the music video and additional videos related to a song.
-Recommendations unique to Shazam.
