Skype for Windows Phone goes live

Skype app for the Windows Phone 7 and 7.5 operating system is a much awaited one and finally the beta version is live for these devices at the MWC 2012. Microsoft actually owns Skype but the application was not implemented in its devices for so long.

At the CES 2012 event conducted in early January in Las Vegas, Microsoft's Vice President, Rick Osterloh had stated that it will be launched in the Windows Phone devices at the MWC 2012. That has happened now and the Beta version of the VoIP application is available as said.

With the launch of this in the Windows powered devices, the Skype is available on all the leading smartphone operating systems. In April, the company will launch the gold version of the app but as of now users can download the beta version to test it on your device.
