Twitter For iOS and Android Updated with Photo Tagging, Multiple Sharing
Twitter is easily one of the top social networking sites in recent times alongside the likes of Facebook. And one reason why such social networking sites has leveraged themselves to the top of user priority list is because of their availability on the go via mobile apps for different platforms. And keeping up with that trend, the Twitter mobile app for Android and iOS have been updated with more new features, offering a host of new functionalities and bug fixes.
According to reports, the Twitter app for Android and iOS has been updated with a number of new functionalities which also include the option of tagging your friends in photos and also the option to share multiple number of photos at any given time.
Twitter also says that both of these features will display in embedded tweets, indicating clearly that the company is very interested in bumping photo use on its social network.
The first of those features allows users to tag up to 10 people in a photo. And thankfully enough, tagging doesn't affect character count in the tweet. And this too regardless of how many people the user may have tagged, the user will still have all 140 characters to use.

"Tagging people in a picture makes conversations around photos fun and easy. And tagging doesn't affect character count in the Tweet - you can tag up to 10 people in a photo and still have all 140 characters at your disposal, making it easier to connect with your friends. If you're the one being tagged, you'll get a notification," the official post states.
The second feature that has arrived with the update lets users share up to four photos in the form of an automatic collage. However, Twitter also says the ability to upload multiple photos has already starting rolling out on iPhone, and the feature is "coming soon" to Android and twitter.com.
Users can currently download the new version of Twitter directly from Google Play and Apple's App Store.
