The Redmond giant, Microsoft has launched the Windows 10 finally. Now, the company has started rolling out its brand new OS to 190 countries across the world.

As of now, everyone can register and get their free upgrades, but the company has planned to release its new Windows 10 in phase manner.

Start Menu

Windows 10 marked the return of the much-loved Start Menu and it is fully customizable. The right column features live tiles that you can customize, resize and reorganize. Moreover you have the search field at the bottom will look up related Internet results in addition to programs and files.

Cortana

Windows 10 brings Microsoft's voice-controlled digital assistant Cortana to desktop computers. With this now you can search your hard drive for specific files, pull up photos from specific dates, or launch PowerPoint presentations just by telling your PC to do so.

Battery Saver

This version of Windows comes with the battery saver options. If you're on a laptop and your battery is running low, this OS will manage the background services and other threads so that you can use the last bit of battery. To enable this Battery Saver features, click the Start menu, and go to Settings → System → Battery Saver.

Edge Browser

To compete with other browsers including Chrome, Mozilla firefox, the Redmond giant has launched the Edge Browser with this version. This browser includes the clutter-stripping Reading View, and allows the reader to store articles in the complementary Reading List app.

Xbox Streaming

This new OS supports Xbox game streaming with improved speed and graphics performance which is supported by DirectX 12. The app also lets you record, edit and share with the Game DVR feature. Also, the users can join others in games across Windows 10 or the Xbox platforms.

Universal App

Windows 10 comes with a feature called Universal App. This features helps those who has more than one Windows devices. A bundle of apps including Photos, Videos, Music, Maps, People & Messaging and Mail & Calendar will look and feel the same across different devices and screen sizes

Continuum

With this feature, now one can moves easily between laptop and tablet usage modes automatically. The system will detect if you've plugged in a keyboard or mouse and switch modes for more convenient interaction.

DirectX 12

Microsoft has added the latest version of Microsoft's graphics API, which has major performance improvements. This will speed up any Direct3D apps that are supported by DirectX 12, which will include CAD software and other demanding graphics tools.

Action Center

This feature will provide all your notifications in one place. It is available on the right side of the screen where he charms bar was in Windows 8.

Control Panel
