Microsoft launched Xbox SmartGlass app for Android devices two weeks back. Now they have given something for iOS users to cheer about. The iOS version of Xbox SmartGlass app is now available for downloaded. Microsoft has launched the new app an update to its existing Xbox Live app. The app gives users with the ability to control the console using smartphones and tablets.
A similar functionality was introduced in a previous update however the new SmartGlass app has a more robust interface. The efficiency of the interface will be particularly visible when the app is used on iPad. With the new app Microsoft has also promised a future screen to screen interaction in games and media. One drawback of the app is that it does not fit in the taller screen in iPhone 5.
Using the new app, users will be able to navigate their Xbox 36o with swipe and tap. Users will also be able to use their phone keyboard to type on Xbox 360.Full keyboard and zoom facilities and included in the app. Users can control different actions of the Xbox like play, pause, fast forward, rewind etc right from the app on their smartphone.
The app also allows users to search full Xbox catalog of music, video and games. Using Xbox SmartGlass f, users can track and compare achievements with Xbox friends. Messages to Xbox friends can also be made right from the app. The app also allows users to edit their Xbox profile and can be downloaded from here.
